24: What is behind the control you seek?

Why do you desire control?

The desire for control may be rooted in a fear of uncertainty.

Think about it. You were in a relationship built upon trust. You entered into a valve, gave your heart to someone that you loved dearly, trusted that they would protect, provide, love, care for, and take care of you all the days of your life.

Then betrayal stepped in. The one you trusted turned your life upside down by betraying your trust. They turned to another instead of you.

You had absolutely no control over that situation. He had no control over his actions or his choices. You had no control over the damage it brought into your life, the upheaval it cost. The pain that it produced in your life.

The chaos that you are in was out of your control.

It is only natural to now seek to be in control of your life and the situation once again. It’s only natural.

But is it really control that you seek or is it something else?
